I'm leaving the UK behind in a week's time to go and be a teaching assistant in a primary school near Avignon, in the south of France. As I type this, I have nowhere to live, have no idea of which school I'll be working at, or how at all I'm going to manage being away from home in a foreign country.
It's completely unlike me to take on such a daunting prospect, but, as with most things that seem to happen without thought at the time of conception, I'm sure it'll all work out and I'll be fine.
I've started this blog so that my adventures, thoughts and experiences can be shared. I'll try and update it as much as I can.
So, with a week to go, and not a lot of progress made yet, here we go...
